Do you believe in plastic surgery? Not the kind that you have if a dog attacks you, or you get burned in a fire, the kind that you get if you don't like something about your body. Breasts, liposuction, tummy tuck, nose job, lip injections, botox...that kind of thing. A lot of people are against altering one's appearance. They think, "God gave you your body, and we should not alter it." But what about people who are so unhappy with their body, there's just something about it that bothers them everyday, such as someone having very large breasts and they want to reduce the size due to back pain? Or someone who unfortunately got stuck with an extremely large nose and has been made fun of their whole life? Is it vain for them to want to have it corrected? We do live in a world that is image-obsessed, and sometimes it is hard to remember that appearance is not as important as character. But if it makes someone able to look at themselves a little easier, and finally feel confident, what's the problem?
People now a days have taken plastic surgery to the next level, getting EVERYTHING done and becoming obsessed and addicted to it; Michael Jackson, Cher, Star Jones, Donatella Versace, the list goes on. So how do they become like that? Money, fame, pressure from society. I think it's important to remember the real reason for wanting to change something about your body, and if you'll feel better about yourself, more power to you!
Women's bodies go through a lot when they bear children, they have a loose stomach that'll probably never be back to normal, saggy boobies, stretch marks, the list can go on and on...so is it wrong to have plastic surgery? I know it's vain, but is it wrong if you'll feel better about yourself?
If you were to have plastic surgery, what would you change?
