Lululemon

I recently bought my first pair of lululemons. I got a pair of jogging pants and a tank top with a built in sports bra. I LOVE them! When the cashier was ringing my purchases in, the total came to a little over $150.00. Some may think that is a ridiculous price to pay for a workout outfit, and I did as well, but right when I put those baby's on, it was so worth it. I was going to buy the beautiful sweater to go with it, but I didn't think I could justify spending $250 on one outfit for the gym! Now that I've fallen in love with it, I wish I had've got the sweater too!

It's all about the quality of the outfit. It will never stretch out, probably won't fade for quite a while and it just fits your body so good! You feel like a million dollars when your wearing your gym clothes. And you can go and run errands in them after your workout and not be embarrassed if you run into someone you know! It's great!

If you've never tried them, or don't have any, you won't understand how great they are, and probably wouldn't even consider getting anything...but don't be biased! You have to try them! It is an investment that is worth it. I almost wish that I had never tried lulu's...because now I may get into some trouble! Oh well, we can always remortgage the house...I mean, I need good workout clothes, right?!

Road Rage

A few weeks ago, Tim and I took Charlotte to Marineland. On our way, just a block from our house we were waiting at a stoplight. There was a minivan in front of us, and the light had turned green, but the guy didn't notice. I wait for about 15 seconds or so, then did just a friendly honk to let him know the light was green. The guy floors it, then flips me the bird out the window! He actually had his whole family in the car, kids and his wife! And he gives me the finger! Unbelievable! I don't know if I've ever been mad enough to give someone the finger, but I definitely would NOT if I had kids in the car! What is that teaching his kids?!

I do have a little bit of road rage, I mean, despite what you may think, I'm not perfect...lol. I am more the type to just mutter something to myself, I don't think I could give someone the finger...and if I did, I would do it so they couldn't see it and to make myself feel better!

am more of a tailgater, I will admit. I speed, I follow very close behind...and I do not always keep my eyes on the road. Sometimes I wonder how I got somewhere because I don't remember watching the road. But after a hefty $400 speeding ticket, and 4 points off my license, I have learned my lesson. And now that I have a baby, I am more cautious of my driving habits.

Driving me crazy...

My friend Rachel & I are starting a cupcake business. We've just started up and have done a couple weddings, an event at a winery, and now have just got a job supplying cupcakes for a restaurant which starts in 2 weeks, and we have yet to think of a catchy name. It is starting to DRIVE ME CRAZY! We (well by we, I mean Rachel) have thought of probably 150 names so far but we don't love any of them. We thought we finally had one, but of course, it's been taken. So we're back to square one. I feel like it's starting to consume my thoughts, and overtake my life...so we need some help!

We want something catchy (I thought "Frost This, cupcakery"but it didn't go over too well with everyone...) something cute, just something people will remember. Eventually we want to open a shop, because we're going to be so successful... so we're going to need a name.

Whoever comes up with a name will get a lifetime supply of delicious, homemade, sweet buttercream icing cupcakes. Well, maybe not a lifetime supply, but we'll definitely take care of you! HELP!

By the way, Karen, we're not choosing "Cupcakes R US" so don't even respond to this...lol

Racing Day

Yesterday was the annual "enduro race" at Humberstone Speedway. Usually it is held at Merritville Speedway, but was cancelled this year due to the weather. Tim is a faithful competitor at this race each year, and this year was extra special because he entered his good ol' 'old faithful' 1988 cavalier...the one he's been driving for the past 4 years. This car is unreal. He bought it for $40.00, has maybe put $100 into it in the past four years, and it ran so smooth. It just doesn't die! We have never had a single problem with it! Tim never minded driving it, and let me tell you, it was not a pretty sight! I would never get in it, it was embarrassing! I think I HAD to drive it 2 times, and both of those times, I wore big sunglasses, a hat, and sat really low in the seat so no one could recognize me. Some of you who have never seen the car may think that is ridiculous of me, but those who know the car would understand.

The race was awesome! I have never been to one before, I thought it'd be pretty boring, but I LOVED it! There were about 8 different races; a bus race (seriously! School buses!), a jump race (cars would plummet over a huge ramp), a trailer race (cars with a boat or tent trailer behind them on a trailer...UNREAL!), a backwards race (pretty self explanatory) a women's race (which I am definitely going into next year...), and an endurance race, which was the one Tim was in with his baby.

The "enduro" is the race in which you have to do 75 laps around the track the fastest. There are over 100 cars in this race. It was just so entertaining to watch! There were bumpers flying off, cars overheating, cars trying to see through all the smoke, cars trying to get around the ones who lost tires, or crashed into the wall, cars on fire, cars rolled over...it was just unbelievable.

In the race were Tim (car #60), my father in law (#59), and my 2 brothers. They all are faithful racers each year. My father in law made it about 17 laps before his car died, Greg (my brother-#57) made it about 30 before he had to go into the pit and fix something, but then came out and kept going, Chris (#58-car painted like the german flag) made it 72 laps before someone had finished the 75, and poor Tim...he was in first place with old faithful for over 30 laps! He ran over someones rim on the track, it hit the fuel pump and it broke. He was doing unbelievable, swerving in and out of the cars, lapping people, he would've won! He made it from lap 20-50 in first place, then that unfortunate event occurred, which threw him out of the race.

Anyways, it was a fun day, and very entertaining! I would definitely recommend going to see it, or being in it next year!
